The Battle of Chickamauga

The Battle of Chickamauga took place on September eighteenth through the 20th in the year 1863. Neither the collaborator nor the Union forces wanted to fight the war because of the location. One of the battles that conduct up to the Battle of Chickamauga was the Battle of Chattanooga. When usual Braxton Bragg had begun to chuck up the sponge Chattanooga he went south toward Missionary Ridge, where he pushed his serviceman through the mountains. That is where he found his enemy, and rather than retreating he brought unneurotic his army to prepare to fight. Rosecrans proceeded and also concentrated his own forces. They met on each side of the Chickamauga River.

The majority of the battle was in the Catoosa County and Walker County. The Union Army was the Army of the Cumberland that was led by Generals William S. Rosecrans, and George H. Thomas. For the Confederate Army which was the Army of Tennessee there was General Braxton Bragg, and Lt. General James Longstreet.
